However, the price is ridiculously steep. Augustine, though not walking distance.įinally, the mandatory valet-I kind of understand this because of its beach location. Otherwise, the reasons I chose this hotel: it’s on the beach, has everything you need there, and it close to downtown St. Surely for the cost of an oversized king suite, the cost of a roll of paper towels can be justified. We ate at the table, but had to use a bathroom washcloth to wipe the table. There’s a huge wet bar area, but it should have some extra towels or a roll of paper towels there. Urine, fecal matter, and just dried marks running down the walls. Then the housekeepers can spray it with disinfectant and clean it. Someone needs to fork out the money for tile around the toilet. The resort fees really irritate me and should be a part of your room cost. Water bottles are a feature of my Hilton Honors, so that’s not really a paid service. Be aware there are a limited number of oceanfront and ocean view rooms.Ĭouple of griefs: you are charged a resort fee for services not provided in February. However, we were moved to the 3rd floor, which is what I wanted to begin with. My room was changed before arrival, which was slightly disappointing. At first, when I checked in on the app, I selected a suite facing the ocean. Definitely recommend the oversized king room. They could use someone going around the lobby as well cleaning the floors, wiping down the glass doors and could definitely use a hand sanitizer by the computers in the lobby. The only negative was the floor in our room was dirty so I left a note for housekeeping and told the front desk and it was taken care of immediately. You can buy your tickets at the hotel front desk. There are a few really good restaurants within walking distance and the beach bus with trolley is a great way to get downtown. They came by frequently to see if we needed anything. They set up our beach chairs and we rented an umbrella ($15/day). Abraham and his beach crew were just awesome. The bartender (Chris (?) was super awesome and remembered what we liked. The complimentary happy hour had nice little snacks but great drinks. We had alot of questions and they were great about helping us. Diane and Frank at the front desk were very helpful. The breakfast staff was friendly and kept everything filled and clean. Honestly I don't know what else a person could want. Breakfast each day was plentiful made to order omelette, plus other hot and cold items. Microwave & small fridge nice sofa & chairs & big TV in sitting room. They should put a rod in there with more hangers. There are 2 closets one has hangers the other is kind of useless with an ironing board in it. The room is large, the bed super comfy, quiet at night for good sleep, big TV. Check in was easy, the room was exactly what I booked. You can check their website to see amenities. I knew about the resort and valet fees from hotel site and reviews so no surprises. But I took a leap of faith and booked for 5 nights. I was a little skeptical about booking here as so many 5 star reviews by folks who have only reviewed this property and seem based only on valets.
